Get fit for the sleeves and you will get a little slingshot effect from these compared to the shorter sleeves. If you have large thighs and I mean large in reference to your knee and calf I recommend the large. XL may give you more of a scrunch in back of leg.
Sleeves definitely help alleviate knee pains when squatting too.
