Weightlifting is a sport that requires the use of the whole body but heavily relies on the strength of the arms and hands. Therefore, having a firm grip and strong wrists is essential while lifting weights. One of the most popular accessories used by weightlifters to enhance their grip and support their wrists is the wrist wrap.
Wrist wraps are a popular accessory for weightlifters and athletes who perform exercises that stress the wrists. Wrist wraps are made of durable materials like cotton or a poly/elastic blend. They can be worn around the wrist to support and stability during weightlifting and other exercises.

If you’re asked “how much do you bench, bro?” and your answer is “not enough”, I truly sympathize with you.

The barbell bench press is known for improving chest strength, size, and power, but performing it to perfection can be quite a challenge. Yes, a bench press world record you read it correctly...744.1 lbs. 😮

Julius Maddox has broken his old World Record Lift of 739.6 lbs, which were set early this year at the Boss of Bosses Powerlifting meet in California.  The NEW record he set is 744.1 lbs, and you can watch it below.

An imposing sight. Have you ever seen 700lbs loaded on a bench? Fourteen 45lb plates, two 10lbs, and two 2.5lbs plates, plus the 45lb bar. Waiting, almost daring to be moved. 700lbs.
Yes, you read it correctly, Julius Maddox (@irregular_strength) attempts a world record bench press of 740 lbs at The American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, TX.  We are ver excited for this day, and we are here to support him during his venture today.

If there was ever something to celebrate, then this is a valid subject...

When your previous best bench press in a meet was 705 lbs the thought of opening with 716 lbs is quite a daunting task, but that's clearly what our man Julius Maddox did at the record breakers meet last night.
